Dr. Ellingsen is a professor and head of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Iceland. She has extensive experience in medical image processing and analysis using both classical and AI-based image processing methods, with applications to brains, bones, and fingerprints.
Hans Tómas Björnsson, MD, PhD

Dr. Bjornsson is a Professor of Translational Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Iceland, as well as the Chief of the Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology at Landspitali. He also holds a dual appointment with Johns Hopkins University, USA, as a Professor of Pediatrics and Genetics. He has extensive experience in research on Kabuki Syndrome and other rare genetic diseases, from basic science to potential therapeutic developments.
